eBay Seller eBay Store

Misspelled Words on eBay

Misspelled words on eBay listings will reduce these sellers from getting their items seen on google and search engines. These items end up with no bids. Even a high cost item will be lost if the seller did not spell words correctly.

Myself have even spelled a word incorrectly, but thank goodness for my windows have a spell checker included into my browser when I am listing items. I do Not ignore this when I see a word that is highlighted in Red. I will right click on it and correct the spelling it needed.

These misspelled words are not only found in the titles, but also in the description and your categories. Misspelled words can hurt your business. Double check your listings before you send to auction or as a buy it now or fixed price item.

If you know you have a good item that will sell, but it ends in your auction with no bids, might be best to look at the spelling of your words. One misspelled word can cause you to loose out on a good sale you had a posted.

These misspelled words are very good items to look for if you are looking for a bargain of your own or to resell.

I have searched and found quiet a few places that let you search for misspelled words. One I found to come up with the most searches is with AuctionIntelligence

With AuctionIntelligence you can search misspelled words in eBay US, Canada, UK and Australia. Plus it is free to do a search with. It will give you the quantities it finds in the country you selected. AuctionIntelligence

Amazon New Charge When Ship for Sellers

Amazon announced their New Shipment process for sellers that is called "Charged when Shipped".

A seller will have to complete the shipment process before they receive payment from their buyers. Where before the buyers payment was submitted to the seller before their product was shipped.

Buyers will no longer be charged until the seller has completed the shipment process. Sellers will have to click on their orders shipment button, include the information, which is then sent to the buyers.

Amazon will display the shipping information in the buyer's Amazon account, and we also send the buyer an e-mail notification with all of the shipping information.

Auctiva Catches All

When Auctiva first stated they were going to charge, before they lowered their rates acouple of weeks ago, alot of people started looking for other sources to list their items to Auctiva.

When this change with Auctiva first started I had found another place to use to list my items on to eBay.

I had wrote Auctiva support asking them if the items I have posted outside of Auctiva listings will I be charged by Auctiva, and why do they show up on my Auctiva account.

After receiving their support reply post I have listed below, will show you that Auctiva will charge for All items posted to eBay even if you are not using Auctiva to list them. Once they hit eBay they are automatically imported into your Auctiva account.

---------------------------------------------

I would like to know why other items I have not listed by Auctiva are showing up in my Auctiva listings?

I have listed items to eBay that I did Not use Auctiva to create.

When I go in to my Auctiva and to my saved or active listings all my items using Auctiva and ones I did Not use Auctiva to create are showing up.

Would I be charged for all items I have listed to eBay, even if I did not create them using Auctiva?

New Comment:

Hello,

I apologize for any confusion in this matter. Our system actually monitors eBay for any items that you post, even if they were not posted through your Auctiva account.

I don't know if you have had a chance to review our new flat rate plans but there is only one that has charges for posting to eBay (the Starter Plan). It is $2.95 and it allows for 15 items to be posted to eBay per month without any additional charges. It is then just $0.50 for each listing after that. There would be no listing charges for items posted directly through your eBay account.

I hope that this response has been helpful. If you have any further questions, concerns, or comments, please, don’t hesitate to contact us again.

Good luck and good selling!

Sincerely,
Todd K.

Multiple Accounts with Auctiva

While I was reading in Auctiva's Message Board found this article I wanted to share
about having multiple accounts. This is a good article and will help other sellers who have multiple accounts with Auctiva.

Auctiva Message on Community Message Board

If you have multiple Auctiva accounts, we will allow you to use all of those accounts and only be charged the fee associated with one of those accounts. The same plan will have to be applied to all accounts, so be sure to choose a plan that will be sufficient for your activity in each account.

If you have multiple accounts and would like to take us up on this offer, please contact our customer support team and let them know the usernames of your Auctiva accounts and the plan you would like to select.

Auction Listening Changed Price Structure

Auctiva is a 3rd Party eBay listing, template tool that had been a free site to use over the four years, up till their recent changes to start charging for eBay sellers to use their site.

Auctiva has been receiving alot of complaints of their changes with their high rate prices they first started off with. Due to complaints they have been listening and changed their fee format.

On June 09, 2009, Auctiva Founder, CEO, Jeff Schlicht sent out an email to their members with the updated price change structure they have made.

With this updated price structure, they are now offering a Flat Rate Pricing of $9.95, with no other charges. Along
with a special Starter flat rate plan for ultra-casual sellers: $2.95/mo., up to 15 listings, 500MB image hosting.

I have included a copy of the email that was sent to myself, and to Auctiva members.

Auctiva email by Jeff Schlicht sent out late evening on 06/09/2006

First of all, I would like to start out by saying that as Auctiva's founder and CEO, I am very sorry and humbly apologize for any frustration and anxiety we caused you to experience about the future of your business over the past week and a half. I know that these recent events have greatly upset our community and I take full responsibility for that. I am asking you to give me a chance to make it right.

Flat Rate Pricing

Auctiva is officially moving to flat monthly pricing: $9.95/mo. everything included

  • 1GB Image Hosting
  • A Faster, Easier-To-Use One-page Lister
  • Bigger Supersized Images
  • Better-looking Templates
  • eBay's Most Popular Scrolling Gallery
  • Free Scheduling
  • 24/7 Customer Support
  • plus all of our other time and money saving tools

In addition to our Standard flat rate plan, we have a special Starter flat rate plan for ultra-casual sellers: $2.95/mo., up to 15 listings, 500MB image hosting.

Why Change Now?

Since we first announced our new pricing structure, I've been listening to the community's concerns. Considering the frank feedback you've provided, through email, surveys, customer support cases, our community messages boards and other forums, a few facts are abundantly clear:

  • You'd prefer a simple, no-surprises flat-rate pricing structure.
  • You don't want to pay any additional FVFs.
  • You want image hosting included.
  • Your margins are tight.

If you are asking yourself, "Why didn't they just use this pricing in the beginning?" the answer is that I thought our customers would like to have the choice of picking a tailored plan based on usage. Clearly, I was wrong.

All too often, large companies fail to listen to their customers. Auctiva's brightest future includes the users who brought us this far. I am making this change now so you can get back to doing business. I sincerely hope that this pricing change allows you continue using the tools you have come to depend on.

Thank you for your business, loyalty and understanding.

Sincerely,

Jeff Schlicht—CEO, Auctiva Corporation

Auctiva No Longer Free Charges Fees June 09

Many eBay sellers have used Auctiva over the last 4yrs with their free listing services. This will no longer be a free eBay listing site after June 1, 2009.

Auctiva has started sending out to users of their changes they will be making.

Everyone who is already signed up will effectively be on a 30 day free trial starting on that date, so charges will not begin accruing until 7/1/09. You can see the complete Auctiva fee structure on the following article on our site: Auctiva Fee Structure Article

Auctiva will be conducting an upgrade to their site
on the morning of 6/1/09. Once this is completed, a member who logs in will be given the plan selection. Each member will have at least 90 days of listing and transaction data in our system, the plan that is the best deal for you will be highlighted and you will be given an estimate based on that data.

All new members will be given an unrestricted 30-day trial period from the day they sign up to evaluate Auctiva's tools and select the best plan for them.

Auctiva not the only eBay listing site. Not yet to find one who was as good with their templates and free saving that you would if listing direct into eBay as a Sell it Now item.

If one would not be interested in paying a fee to keep their auctiva listings another site that eBay has authorized for sellers to list products on Auction Zealot . They are Free to list more then one image, with a small quantity of templates. They do have a small monthly fee if one is wanting to update for more options. This is only an option and not needing to pay, as one can use their free eBay listings.

Rock Bottom Overstock, Closeouts & Surplus Deals!

I find this company Rock Bottom to be very good supplier. Their prices are way below retail costs. They don't deal with outside vendors. All their products are direct at their own warehouse in Chicago, Illinois.

They offer a wide variety of supplies from Automotive, Baby Care, Cleaning Supplies, Clothing, Dollar Store Items, Electronics/Media, Books, Health & Beauty Care, Home Supplies, Jewelry & Gifts, Office & School supplies, Paper & Party Goods, Pet Supplies, Toys/Sports/Games and Seasonal Items.

They will even drop ship their products for you so you don't have to worry about physical stock at your home. Drop-shipping is a great source for eBay sellers, online sellers or one who has their own website to list products to.

If you do not like drop shipping you can purchase their items direct at their way below retail costs and have them shipped to your home or business location.

Over 95% of all items shown on their site are in stock now. Most products come in a small wholesale lots. Some products are also single item purchases. All in stock items are shipped within one to four business days of your order being placed on their site.

Another nice feature of Rock Bottom website is once you place an order for your customer or to purchase direct to yourself is they have a link tab that keeps track of all orders with tracking number. Such a nice feature that you don't have to go look for your tracking number on products from
Rock Bottom.

Communication is great with Rock Bottom. If you have a question about a product or your order just write to them and they will answer back. Very good business to work with. I highly recommend them.
