Auctiva Catches All

When Auctiva first stated they were going to charge, before they lowered their rates acouple of weeks ago, alot of people started looking for other sources to list their items to Auctiva.

When this change with Auctiva first started I had found another place to use to list my items on to eBay.

I had wrote Auctiva support asking them if the items I have posted outside of Auctiva listings will I be charged by Auctiva, and why do they show up on my Auctiva account.

After receiving their support reply post I have listed below, will show you that Auctiva will charge for All items posted to eBay even if you are not using Auctiva to list them. Once they hit eBay they are automatically imported into your Auctiva account.

---------------------------------------------

I would like to know why other items I have not listed by Auctiva are showing up in my Auctiva listings?

I have listed items to eBay that I did Not use Auctiva to create.

When I go in to my Auctiva and to my saved or active listings all my items using Auctiva and ones I did Not use Auctiva to create are showing up.

Would I be charged for all items I have listed to eBay, even if I did not create them using Auctiva?

New Comment:

Hello,

I apologize for any confusion in this matter. Our system actually monitors eBay for any items that you post, even if they were not posted through your Auctiva account.

I don't know if you have had a chance to review our new flat rate plans but there is only one that has charges for posting to eBay (the Starter Plan). It is $2.95 and it allows for 15 items to be posted to eBay per month without any additional charges. It is then just $0.50 for each listing after that. There would be no listing charges for items posted directly through your eBay account.

I hope that this response has been helpful. If you have any further questions, concerns, or comments, please, don’t hesitate to contact us again.

Good luck and good selling!

Sincerely,
Todd K.

Multiple Accounts with Auctiva

While I was reading in Auctiva's Message Board found this article I wanted to share
about having multiple accounts. This is a good article and will help other sellers who have multiple accounts with Auctiva.

Auctiva Message on Community Message Board

If you have multiple Auctiva accounts, we will allow you to use all of those accounts and only be charged the fee associated with one of those accounts. The same plan will have to be applied to all accounts, so be sure to choose a plan that will be sufficient for your activity in each account.

If you have multiple accounts and would like to take us up on this offer, please contact our customer support team and let them know the usernames of your Auctiva accounts and the plan you would like to select.

Auction Listening Changed Price Structure

Auctiva is a 3rd Party eBay listing, template tool that had been a free site to use over the four years, up till their recent changes to start charging for eBay sellers to use their site.

Auctiva has been receiving alot of complaints of their changes with their high rate prices they first started off with. Due to complaints they have been listening and changed their fee format.

On June 09, 2009, Auctiva Founder, CEO, Jeff Schlicht sent out an email to their members with the updated price change structure they have made.

With this updated price structure, they are now offering a Flat Rate Pricing of $9.95, with no other charges. Along
with a special Starter flat rate plan for ultra-casual sellers: $2.95/mo., up to 15 listings, 500MB image hosting.

I have included a copy of the email that was sent to myself, and to Auctiva members.

Auctiva email by Jeff Schlicht sent out late evening on 06/09/2006

First of all, I would like to start out by saying that as Auctiva's founder and CEO, I am very sorry and humbly apologize for any frustration and anxiety we caused you to experience about the future of your business over the past week and a half. I know that these recent events have greatly upset our community and I take full responsibility for that. I am asking you to give me a chance to make it right.

Flat Rate Pricing

Auctiva is officially moving to flat monthly pricing: $9.95/mo. everything included

  • 1GB Image Hosting
  • A Faster, Easier-To-Use One-page Lister
  • Bigger Supersized Images
  • Better-looking Templates
  • eBay's Most Popular Scrolling Gallery
  • Free Scheduling
  • 24/7 Customer Support
  • plus all of our other time and money saving tools

In addition to our Standard flat rate plan, we have a special Starter flat rate plan for ultra-casual sellers: $2.95/mo., up to 15 listings, 500MB image hosting.

Why Change Now?

Since we first announced our new pricing structure, I've been listening to the community's concerns. Considering the frank feedback you've provided, through email, surveys, customer support cases, our community messages boards and other forums, a few facts are abundantly clear:

  • You'd prefer a simple, no-surprises flat-rate pricing structure.
  • You don't want to pay any additional FVFs.
  • You want image hosting included.
  • Your margins are tight.

If you are asking yourself, "Why didn't they just use this pricing in the beginning?" the answer is that I thought our customers would like to have the choice of picking a tailored plan based on usage. Clearly, I was wrong.

All too often, large companies fail to listen to their customers. Auctiva's brightest future includes the users who brought us this far. I am making this change now so you can get back to doing business. I sincerely hope that this pricing change allows you continue using the tools you have come to depend on.

Thank you for your business, loyalty and understanding.

Sincerely,

Jeff Schlicht—CEO, Auctiva Corporation
